K&L Club Italiano 2009 9月のワイン。
南イタリアのプーリア州（Puglia = Apulia）にあるワイナリー Villa Schinosa （ヴィラ・シノーサ）。1884年に建てられたこのワイナリーは200ヘクタールの自社畑を持ち、土着品種をベースにした様々な赤ワインを生産している。

南イタリアの土着品種 Nero di Troia （ネロ・ディ・トロイア）100%。非常に色素が濃く、柔らかいタンニンが印象的な、いかにもイタリアワインの土臭さを持った1本。K&Lのテイスティング・ノートには「bottled sunshine （＝太陽を瓶に詰めたような）」と形容されているものの、そこまで太陽爆発！という味わいではなく、むしろ深く落ち着いたワインだったように思う。

Intense Ruby Red colour with light orange and violet nuances. Intense, fresh aromas of violets and dark berry fruits. Lightly spiced. Full-bodied but soft on the finish with a good balance between fruit and structure.

2006 Tenuta Coppadoro Pescorosso IGT

K&L Club Italiano 2009 3月のワイン。
南イタリアのプーリア州（Puglia = Apulia）にあるワイナリー Tenuta Coppadoro （テヌータ・コッパドオーロ）。2001年に地元プーリアのビジネスマングループによって設立、イタリアの有名なワイン醸造（enologist）Riccardo Cottarella を迎え、既に Gambero Rosso 3 Glasses を獲得。プーリア州の新たなベンチマーク的ワイナリーである。ワイナリー名 Coppadoro の、coppa は cup、doro (d'oro) は golden で "Bowl of Gold" を意味し、光がボール一杯に降り注ぐ様はラベルのシンボルマークにも表されている。

K&Lのニュースレターに Primitivo （プリミティーボ：Zinfandel を起源とする品種）とあったので、ジンファンデルらしいと思いながら飲んでいたら、実は 75% Nero di Troia （ネロ・ディ・トロイア）、25% Aglianico （アリアニコ）だった。いずれも南イタリア土着品種。濃い色とスパイシーさは ネロ・ディ・トロイア、強い果実味とフルボディさはアリアニコの特徴。あわせればジンファンデルのように感じるのだろう。（と、言い訳。）カリフォルニアのジンファンデルより、もっと芯からどっしりとしたワイン。

Since its establishment in 2001, Tenuta Coppadoro has fast become the new benchmark for quality winemaking in the southern Italian province of Puglia. Coppadoro's vineyards are located on the Gargano peninsula, a promontory of land projecting out from the Italian coastline into the Adriatic Sea; it forms the “spur” above the heel formed by Puglia's Salentino peninsula. Home to Italy’s largest national park, the area is characterized by thickly forested ravines and sunlit valleys, likened to bowls, or coppe in Italian; hence the winery name, meaning "Bowl of Gold." 75% Nero di Troia; 25% Aglianico, this wine is the result of a blend of two native red grape varieties, grown in 112-acres of vineyard planted in the San Severo hills. Vineyards are planted 2,500 vines per acre, with a final yield of 60%. The wine shows aromas of very red currants and wild strawberries, with delightfully spicy notes of fresh black pepper. Flavors are fresh, vibrant and well-rounded with excellent body and balance.

2004 Vigne e Vini Papale Primitivo di Manduria

記念すべき K&L Club Italiano 初ワイン。2008年3月のワイン。
Vigne e Vini　は、イタリア半島のブーツのかかとにあたるプーリア州（Puglia = Apulia）に古くからあるワイナリー。

100% Primitivo （プリミティーボ）。Primitivo の起源は Zinfandel に非常に近いと言われている。最初は若さが目立った。軽めの辛口。イタリアっぽい香りがするが、カリフォルニアにも通じるような強烈なフルーティさが美味しい（by おっと）。強烈で複雑なフルーツの味、でもカリフォルニアのジンファンデルと同種だとはわからないと思った（by よめ）。

100% Primitivo grapes are harvested from the oldest vineyards located near the Ionian sea. This wine offers a ruby red color and very intense fragrances of fruit jam, along with blck currant, cherry, mulberry, cocoa and licorice. On the palate it offers a round smooth taste and plenty of rich fruit. Ideal with braised meat.

スーパー・トスカーナ Tignanello （ティニャネロ）を造り出す Antinori （アンティノリ社）がプーリア州（Puglia = Apulia）に所有するワイナリー Tormaresca （トルマレスカ）。そこで造られるワイン Bocca di Lupo （ボッカ・ディ・ルポ）。Appellation は Castel del Monte D.O.C.。（イタリア格付け DOC についてはこちら。）

90% Aglianico、10% Cabernet Sauvignon。テイスティングノートによると、典型的な Aglianico の香りなんだとか。（アリアニコ：イタリア南部の品種で香り高く濃厚で強いフレーバーを持つ。）正直、1本前に飲んだスーパー・トスカーナ Tignanello のインパクトが強すぎて、このワインはほとんど印象に残っていない。イタリアワイン通の友人は大変気に入っていたので、もう一度じっくり飲んでみたい。
