Gruet Blanc de Noirs Méthode Champenoise Brut

ニューメキシコ州 Albuquerque （アルバカーキー）にある Gruet Winery （グリュエ・ワイナリー）。1952年からフランス・シャンパーニュで高品質なシャンパンを造り続けていたグリュエ・ファミリーが、アメリカにもスパークリングに適した恵まれた土地が存在することを発見し、1984年にニューメキシコ州にワイナリーを創設。アメリカでも知る人ぞ知るブランドとして確立してきている。現在、Brut NV (non-vintage)、Blanc de Noirs NV、Rosé NV、Demi Sec NV、vintage Blanc de Blancs、vintage Grand Rosé、創設者の名を冠した vintage Gilbert Gruet Grande Reserve の7種類のスパークリングワインのほか、Chardonnay と Pinot Noir を生産している。

ニューメキシコ州という珍しい地域。以前飲んだ Brut NV は 75% Pinot Noir、25% Chardonnay だったが、今回の Blanc de Noirs NV は 75% Chardonnay、25% Pinot Noir。（通常ヨーロッパで Blanc de Noir といえば、黒ブドウ100%。）よめは、通常は Chardonnay 比率が高いほうが好きだが、Gruet は前回の Brut NV のほうが好みだった。今回のほうが少しだけドライ。"A fine salmon color （薄いサーモンピンク）" らしいのだが、ほぼ白に近く、気づかなかった。

The rich and toasty character of our Blanc de Noirs is balanced and superb. Aged for two-year minimum, the palate is developed and shows rich complex flavors. The amazing berries aromas and the creamy texture play a leading role and create a great finesse.

Winemaker's Note: A fine salmon color, aggressive mousse and a lovely fruity wine with plenty of immediate charm and toasty aromas. There is also an explosive juicy flavor of raspberry.

ラズベリーやストロベリーの香り。口に含むと想像よりずっとドライ。よめの評価が低いのは、よめが単純にロゼのスパークリングが好みでないだけ。Brut NV は印象に残る美味しいスパークリングだった。

This nearly garnet Rose, like all our non-vintage sparkling wines, is aged 24 months en tirage. It has a lovely, bright floral bouquet with hints of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry. On the palate, it is rich and fruity in a dry, Brut style. The flavor of berries continues on the palate, revealing more strawberry, raspberry, cherry. This sparkler is lots of fun and very festive, but production is limited to 5000 cases per year, so don't miss out!
