K&L Personal Sommelier Service 2011 1月のワイン。
スペインで最も有名なワイン産地 Rioja （リオハ）の Bodega （ボデガ：ワイナリー）、La Rioja Alta （ラ・リオハ・アルタ）。力強く、寿命の長いワイン造りに定評があり、スペイン政府のディナーや大使館のレセプションにも供されている。カリフォルニアのK&Lでも取り扱いあり。

スペインのパラドールで選んだ1本（ハーフボトル）。なんと、数年後のK&L Personal Sommelier Serviceでチョイスされ再び出会い、強い縁を感じる。

（2008.06.01　first entry）
開けた瞬間、シンナーのような揮発臭がしたが、すぐに飛ぶ。少し軽め。飲みやすくて美味しい。もう少し熟成させて飲んでみたい1本。75% Tempranillo、25% Garnacha。

（2012.01.14　update）
熟成されたテンプラニーリョのレザー感と果実味。存在感は控えめだがよい複雑さが感じられる。さらに熟成させても期待できそうなリオハ。

Medium-high cherry red robe, with orange tinted tones on the edge of the glass, clear and brilliant. Intense and complex to the nose. Wild berry aromas predominate, blended with hints of coconut, cinnamon, tobacco and leather. Full-bodied and well structured to the palate, with silky and enveloping tannins.
Long after-taste acquired from its lengthy time in bottle, where its elegant bouquet gains in intensity. This Vina Ardanza continues to evolve without losing its traditional qualities.

2006 Ovidio Tempranillo La Mancha

スペイン中央部の La Mancha （ラ・マンチャ） 地方に位置するワイナリー Bodega Bernal García-Chicote。2001年が初ヴィンテージの新しいワイナリーで、Tempranillo （テンプラニーニョ）種のみを生産している。

K&L のお勧め情報で見つけたワインで、真っ黒で文字が少なく長めのボトルが印象的な一本。久々のテンプラニーニョはかなりフルーティかつスパイシーでよめ好み。スペインワインの中でもかなりニューワールド寄りなスタイルに思える。K&L のレビューに Zinfandel のようだと書かれているのも頷ける。

1995 Bodegas Casa Juan Señor de Lesmos Rioja Gran Reserva

スペイン北部に位置する Rioja （リオハ）は、スペインを代表する高級赤ワインの生産地としての名声を誇っている。主要な品種はスペインを代表する Tempranillo （テンプラニーニョ）。Bodegas Casa Juan （ボデガス・カサ・ホアン）はそんなリオハの中でも非常に小さな造り手で、最下位の Crianza （クリアンサ）から極上の Gran Reserva （グラン・レゼルバ）（Reserva Especial：今回飲んだものの1つ上）まで、Tempranillo を主体とした4種類のワインを生産している。K&L テイスティングで気に入り購入。

85% Tempranillo、15% Mazuelo のブレンド。Mazuelo （マスエロ）はスペインでの Carignan （カリニャン）の別名で、酸味や渋みが強い、いわゆる刺激性の強い風味のワインとなる。甘いタバコのようなエキゾチックな香りと、強めの酸味が印象的。同時に飲んだカリフォルニアのカベルネのパワフルさに押され気味だったが、単独で飲めば渋くてなかなか悪くない（by おっと）。少し寝かせすぎた臭みが感じられ、もう少し早い段階で飲んでみたかった（by よめ）。1995年のグラン・レゼルバがこの値段で買えるのはお買い得。

Produced of strictely selected, overripe grapes, already mixed during the fermentation process. Destemmed and softly pressed, this wine can ferment about 30 days in its own characteristic yeast.

It will then be decanted twice, before it can finally age 26 months in 1-year-old casks of American Oak. After that, follow a further 38 months aging in-bottle.

This magnificent wine is thought to develop and deepen its taste in the bottle over many years, but already now it has the subtlety and the elegance of its class.

2001 Campo Viejo Tempranillo Rioja Gran Reserva

スペイン北部に位置する Rioja （リオハ）は、スペインを代表する高級赤ワインの生産地としての名声を誇っている。主要な品種はスペインを代表する Tempranillo （テンプラニーニョ）。生産者である Bodegas Campo Viejo （ボデガス・カンポ・ヴィエホ）は、1959年に2つのリオハの小さなワイナリーが合併して出来たワイナリー（Bodega）で、その名は古くから持っている自社畑に植わっている非常に古いブドウの木の愛称（英語で "Old Friend"、"Old Field" の意）に由来する。

K&Lで見つけた年代物かつお手頃なグラン・レゼルバ。あくまで値段相応ではあるが、典型的なリオハの味わい。グラン・レゼルバの名に期待していたよりは渋く、あと少し熟成感が欲しかった。

The Gran Reserva is a blend of Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano that spends two years in barrel and a minimum of three years in bottle before it is released. It is one of those perfectly mature wines that has the essence of mulled plums and roasted cherries blended with wood spice and leather notes. Now reaching the end of the vintage, we were able to get some serious discounting in play (which is even better considering the quality of this vintage) and were able to pass the savings on to you. スペイン Rioja （リオハ）の新星ワインメーカー Benjamin Romeo （ベンハミン・ロメオ）氏。リオハの代表的なワイナリー Artadi （アルタディ）を辞め、自己の少量のプレミアムワインを生産に打ち込む。ラインナップは、フラッグシップワイン Contador （コンタドール）、セカンドワイン La Cueva del Contador （ラ・クエバ・デル・コンタドール）、2001 から登場した La Viña de Andres Romeo （ラ・ヴィーニャ・デ・アンドレス・ロメオ）。いずれのラインも高い評価を得ており、特に 2003 から 2005 までの Contador は Robert Parker が97～100ポイントをつけている。

香りがテンプラニーニョらしくない。口に含むとレモン汁のような酸味を感じる。こんなに酸っぱいワインは初めて。スペインらしい強いミネラルと果実身も感じるのに、酸味が覆い隠してしまっているような印象。バランスが悪い（by おっと）。時間が経つとまとまって落ち着いてきた。100% Tempranillo。

サンフランシスコのレストラン bushi-tei で選んだ1本。開けた直後は香りも味も軽めで少しがっかりしたが、時間が経つと最初のシルキーさを残しつつ重みが増してスペインのテンプラニーニョのよさが出てくる。

スペインで最も有名なワイン産地 Rioja （リオハ）の Bodega （ボデガ：ワイナリー）、Bodegas LAN （ボデガス・ラン）。樽を納めた美しい熟成庫は Château Lafite-Rothschild （シャトー・ラフィット）とも比較されるほどだそう。最新の醸造技術を駆使し、伝統とバランスを取りながらワイン造りを行っている。

ニューワールドのシラーやカベルネを思わせる爆発系な力強さ。スペインのテンプラニーニョと言われればそんな雰囲気もしなくはないが、ちょっとびっくり。スパイシーさはアメリカンオークから来ている様子。おっとよめ共に、ちょっと苦手。80% Tempranillo （テンプラニーニョ）、10% Mazuelo （マスエロ）、10% Garnacha （ガルナッチャ）。

This is a variety that ages well in wood, producing wines with a good tannic structure, colour and acidity. . The reserva wines of Riscal spend approximately two years in American oak barrels, forming a wine that adheres to the principles of classic Rioja wines.

On the nose, hints of fruit enveloped in a series of oak fragances and balsamic aromas. Red with a slight hint of yellow when still and glints of violet hues when swirled. In the mouth, a series of smooth sensations moving towards the back of the palate, then returning along the sides of the rear of the tongue with toasted flavours and finishing underneath the tongue at the front with soft, persistent toasted sensations.

初 Gran Reserva。11年物。スモーキーで深い。普通に美味しい。このヴィンテージのスペインワインがこのお値段は買い。

スペインで最も有名なワイン産地 Rioja （リオハ）の Bodega （ボデガ：ワイナリー）、Marqués de Cáceres （マルケス・デ・カセレス）。アメリカの色々なところで見かける深い赤のラベルが目印。

かなりスパイシーで樽香も強い。おっとはちょっとブショネ？と思うような変な香りを感じたけど、気のせいかもしれない。濃厚さやどっしり感はないけれど、複雑さはありかつ飲みやすい。というのがスペインのテンプラニーニョの印象。少し冷やしても美味しく飲めそう。85% Tempranillo、15% Garnacha Tinta & Graciano （2004ヴィンテージのブレンド比）。
