2005 Tenuta San Guido Guidalberto

Tenuta San Guido Guidalberto
（テヌータ・サン・グイド・グイダルベルト）

元祖スーパー・トスカーナ（スーパー・タスカン）として名高い Sassicaia （サッシカイア）の造り手 Tenuta San Guido （テヌータ・サン・グイド）。サッシカイアに隣接する畑のブドウから造られ、年によってはサッシカイアのブドウをブレンドすることもある、「若くから楽しめるサッシカイア」のコンセプトで2000年から造られたのが、このセカンドワイン Guidalberto （グイダルベルト）。カベルネ・ソーヴィニヨン主体のサッシカイアとは違い、45% Melrot、45% Cabernet Sauvignon、10% Sangiovese のブレンド。（ブレンド率はヴィンテージにより異なる。）3年前に飲んだ2003年に引き続き2度目のボトル。

濃い紫色。非常によい香り。イタリアらしい土臭さで、しなやかでやや軽めのボルドーブレンドと言った味わい。程よく熟成していて、時間が経ち開いてくるととても美味しい。余韻も長く口の中にいつまでも残る。ボルドーとはまた違った美味しさ。間違いのない1本。


※Super Toscana （スーパー・トスカーナ、スーパー・トスカン、スーパー・タスカン）とは
トスカーナ地方の地ワイン、Chianti （キャンティ）を名乗るには、一定比率以上の Sangiovese 種を使用していなければならない。その法律に縛られず、Cabernet Sauvignon 等の独自のぶどう品種と醸造法（主に新樽熟成）で最高のトスカーナワインを造ろうとする最近の潮流を指す。スーパー・トスカーナの格付けは、オフィシャルには DOCG ではなく、IGT （地酒のようなカテゴリー）や VdT （テーブルワイン級）としてしか認められていない。

2009 Tenuta di Montecucco "Passonoio"

イタリア・トスカーナ州の南部に位置するマイナーな Montecucco （モンテクッコ）地方のワイナリー Tenuta di Montecucco。古い歴史を持つワイナリーで、文献によると、12世紀初頭には修道僧であった Montecucco 一族がこの土地の品質とワイン生産に言及している。

サンフランシスコのイタリアンレストラン Incanto で飲んだ一本。イタリアンな土臭さは健在。同じトスカーナでも Chianti や Montalcino のワインとは異なり、男性的な力強さではない。可もなく不可もなく。（以前にも安い Montecucco を飲んでいる。）今回飲んだ Passonaia は 85% Sangiovese、15% Ciliegiolo （土着品種）のブレンド。

2007 Amantis "Birbanera" Montecucco

イタリア・トスカーナ州の南部に位置するマイナーな Montecucco （モンテクッコ）地方のワイナリー Amantis。ワイン学者（Enologist）でもある Paolo Vaggagini 氏とワインを愛する Bernardetta Angela Tacconi Vaggagini 夫妻が、トスカーナの主要品種であるサンジョベーゼを中心にブドウとワインを生産している。今回飲んだのは "Birbanera" と名付けられた Montecucco Rosso DOC ワイン。黒猫だけに珍しくラベル買い。

鮮やかなフルーツが香る軽めのイタリアワイン。もの凄い澱が出ている。トスカーナにしては軽やかに感じるのはメルローを始めとする様々なブレンドによる影響か。60% Sangiovese、その他、Colorino、Canaiolo、Merlot、Petit Verdot のブレンドワイン。

イタリア・トスカーナ州の DOCG 認定地区 Chianti Classico の中の Gaiole in Chianti （ガイオーレ・イン・キャンティ）自治体で Ricasoli-Firidolfi （リカゾリ・フィリドル）家が運営するワイナリー Rocca di Montegrossi （ロッカ・ディ・モンテグロッシ）。現在のオーナーは Marco Ricasoli-Firidolfi 氏。

K&Lで良く見かける造り手のキャンティ・クラシコ。以前にも2005年ビンテージを飲んでいる。最初少しだけピリピリした臭みが感じられたがすぐに消える。それでもあまり深みは無く、2005年の時と同様値段相応の味わいという印象。90% Sangiovese、5% Canaiolo、5% Colorino。

※キャンティとキャンティ・クラシコの違い （Chianti and Chianti Classico）
キャンティは、その質にピンからキリまであるようなワインが一括して DOCG にランクされているとよく問題視されるが、キャンティ・クラシコも長い間キャンティのひとつのカテゴリに過ぎなかった。1996年、ようやくキャンティから独立し、単独の DOCG を名乗ることになった。最も古い歴史と伝統があるエリアで造られるキャンティ、それがキャンティ・クラシコと言える。

K&L Club Italiano 2008 10月のワイン。
イタリア・トスカーナ州、Montalcino （モンタルチーノ）地区のワイナリー Sesta di Sopra（セスタ・ディ・ソープラ）。非常に小さな造り手で、Brunello di Montalcino の生産はわずか330ケース。収穫は手作業で行われ、丁寧なブドウおよびワイン造りを心がけている。

2年前にK&Lワインクラブで届いたものを少しだけ熟成。香り、および口に含んだ瞬間の印象は、果実味が凝縮され、かなりフルーティな感じだけど、明らかにイタリアワインだと分かる強烈な土臭さと野生のハーブが印象的なサンジョベーゼ。少し熟成させたため、タンニンが落ち着いてスムーズになっている。それでも良い意味でパワフルで好印象。Rosso di Montalcino だが、さらに5年くらいは寝かせられるそう。

2007 Poggiarellino Rosso di Montalcino

イタリア・トスカーナ州、Montalcino （モンタルチーノ）地区のワイナリー Poggiarellino。50歳代の可愛い老夫婦が営む小さなワイナリー。モンタルチーノ地区のワインには、5年寝かせる長期熟成ワイン Brunello di Montalcino と、1年でリリースするこの Rosso di Montalcino がある。ブドウは一緒だが、より広い層の人に飲んでもらうためのマーケティング。Rosso di Montalcino のワインは「100% Sangiovese であること」「収穫から1年後の1月2日以降までリリースしてはならないこと」が法律で定められている。

2007年のトスカーナワインは最高の年で、特にモンタルチーノは素晴らしい出来。濃いチェリーの香りと土っぽさが複雑に絡み合った美味しいロッソ・デ・モンタルチーノ。2005ヴィンテージも飲んでいるが、どちらもよく、お気に入りの造り手。100% Sangiovese。

One of our real evolving stars in Montalcino this tiny winery is making great wines. The Poggiarellino Rosso di Montalcino is full of complex dark cherry fruit, with nicely evolved notes of tobacco leaf and has layers of what the Italians call sotto bosco (the flavor of the forest floor). On the palate the aromas are interwoven and fleshed out by an unctuous but not fat body and backed up with a core of mineral, stone, earth and truffle in the finish, does that sound complex?

イタリア・トスカーナ州にあるワイナリー Vecchie Terre di Montefili （ヴェッキエ・テッレ・ディ・モンテフィリ）。Acuti Family （アクーティ家）により1979年創業以来、Gambero Rosso （イタリアで最も権威あるワイン評価本「Vini d'Italia」（ミシュランみたいなもの）を出版する食の総合誌）からいくつもの 3-Glass awards を受けている。日本では Bruno di Rocca （ブルーノ・ディ・ロッカ）という Cabernet Sauvignon と Sangiovese のブレンドワインが有名。

現在キャンティ・クラシコは、20%までであればサンジョベーゼ以外の認定されている他の品種とのブレンドが許されているが、今回のキャンティ・クラシコは 100% Sangiovese。イタリアらしいワインではあるが、今まで飲んだことのあるキャンティ・クラシコのようなミネラル、スパイシーさは少なかった。と、同じ感想を持ったキャンティ・クラシコが以前もあった。キャンティこそ最も多種多様なワインが出来る土地のひとつ。既成概念を捨てて飲むのがいいのだろう。コルクが異常に固かった。

Rarely does one find a Chianti Classico that is 100% Sangoovese, but just such a wine is the Vecchie Terre Chianti. It is aged for one year in oak and offers the just about everything one loves about quality Chianti, especially its affinity for Italian pasta dishes and pizza. Intensely perfumed with notes of forest berries and spice, it is dry on the palate while vivacious, with ample structure and tannin to cut through rich cheeses and meat sauces. Fabulous! Sassicaia （サッシカイア）と人気を2分するスーパー・トスカーナ（スーパー・トスカン / スーパー・タスカン）ワイン Tenuta dell'Ornellaia （テヌータ・デル・オルネライア）。1981年、フィレンツェの名門 Antinori （アンティノリ）家の次男である Lodovico Antinori （ロドヴィコ・アンティノリ）侯爵が、兄のピエロ・アンティノリが造ったサッシカイアに刺激を受けて造り始め、以来、常にイタリアワインのトップクラスに位置づけられている。1999年にカリフォルニアの Robert Mondavi （ロバート・モンダビ）がパートナーに加わり、2002年にはロドヴィコは経営から退き、モンダビが50%、イタリアの Frescobaldi （フレスコバルディ社）が50%の所有権を持つようになる。2005年からはモンダビも退き、現在はフレスコバルディ社が100%所有している。

オルネライアでは、フラッグシップの Ornellaia、セカンドラベルの Le Serre Nuove dell' Ornellaia （レ・セッレ・ヌオーヴェ・オルネライア）、よりカジュアルなラインの Le Volte （レ・ヴォルテ）の3種類のワインを造っている。

オルネライアやセカンドラベルがボルドーブレンドであるのに対し、このレ・ヴォルテはサンジョベーゼ中心。イタリアの伝統的なサンジョベーゼの王道外れることなくバランスよく造られている。軽やかさも感じつつ。間違いのない美味しさはさすが。52% Sangiovese、36% Merlot、12% Cabernet Sauvignon。

イタリアの Tuscany （トスカーナ州）、Montalcino （モンタルチーノ地区）で作られるワイン。モンタルチーノのワインには、Barolo に劣らず長期熟成が期待できる Brunello di Montalcino と、熟成年数が若くお手頃な Rosso di Montalcino がある。ブドウは一緒だが、より広い層の人に飲んでもらうためランク分け。モンタルチーノのワインは 100% Sangiovese であることが法的に義務付けられている。

Camigliano （カミリアーノ）は、ワイナリー名であると同時にモンタルチーノ地区の村名でもある。1957年 Ghezzi 一族により創業。Brunello di Montalcino、Rosso di Montalcino を始め、IGT ワインや Cabernet Sauvignon も手がけている。

イタリアンレストランで見つけたロッソ・デ・モンタルチーノ。軽やかで香りのいいサンジョベーゼ。飲みやすくピザなどによくあう。

The wine: with paramount refinement in both aroma and taste, it succeeds in expressing the full bouquet of fruit and flowers that characterizes young Sangiovese wines.
Conclusion: A wine that immediately expresses all the great potential of the Sangiovese grape, even after a year of aging. The wine ages over time in interesting ways, even in the bottle. This is a wine for every day, particularly for relaxing in the evening at home, after a day's work (Monday through Thursday).
